How does shared SSL work?

A Shared SSL provides a method for secure, encrypted access to your web content without the need of obtaining a dedicated IP address and your own SSL Certificate.

This shared security gives you the padlock symbol and an "https" address, but the URL is not dedicated to your business.

A Shared SSL will produce a browser warning which can frighten off potential buyers.
